Matcha Pudding with Matcha Syrup

I once had this matcha pudding in a Japanese restaurant in Causeway Bay and fell in love with it.  So I decided to try replicate it at home and found that I can actually make it even more delicious myself! XD

Ingredients (for 3 servings)

Pudding:
  • Gelatin sheet
2 small sheets (3g)
  • Milk
100 mL
  • Cream
100 mL
  • Matcha powder
1 tsp
  • Sugar
1/2 tbsp
Matcha Syrup:
  • Sugar
1 tbsp
  • Water
1 tbsp
  • Matcha powder
1 tbsp

Directions

  1. Soak gelatin sheet in water until it softens.
  2. Put milk, cream and matcha powder in a saucepan and cook until simmer.
  3. Squeeze water out of the gelatin and put it in the saucepan.  Cook until gelatin completely dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture into 3 cups and put in the fridge until firm.
  5. Now make the matcha syrup by mixing sugar with water until completely dissolve.  And then mix it with matcha powder.   Pour it onto the pudding. Done!
