My husband said this is one of his favorite dishes that I cooked~ This is a dish that my mum taught me. A savory Chinese dish with a little sweetness.
Ingredients (for 2 servings)
||approx. 400 g|
||a bunch for garnishing|
||1/4 tsp (to taste)|
- Slice the onion.
- Pan sear the beef short ribs to around 70% cooked.
- Take out the beef short ribs, leaving the oil in the pan (pour away some if too much oil). Marinate the short ribs with soy sauce, sugar, corn starch, sesame oil and black pepper. Mix it well and leave it aside.
- Stir fry the onion in the pan using the oil from the beef. Cook until the onion softens and turns brown. Put in the short ribs with the sauce and stir fry them. Cook until the sauce thickens.
- Plate it and garnish with chives. Done!
